The black, the white and the ocean.
Life has many colors. But to one like me, there is black and there is white. Right or wrong, left or right, good or evil, this way or that way. There is no gray. Tell me then, what is bittersweet? What is “okay”? What is lukewarm? What is rest? What is freedom? Left, or right. Black, or white. If you know all there is to know, tell me! For your sake, I will ask you this. Do you trust God? Yes, or no. Wrong! It’s all wrong! How can you possibly say that you trust Him when you have not first let go of the wheel? You are afraid of the ocean, afraid of what might be in it. You are afraid of your stamina, you just might run out and sink. You are afraid of the current, it just might pull you too far out. If you know this much, tell me. Who made the ocean? Who made stamina? Who made the current and all of the invisible forces behind it? Was it not God in His infinite wisdom? I plead with you my dear child, trust! To trust is gray, for it is not this way or that way. It is not black or white, left nor right. My child, it is all gray! Isn’t the truth bittersweet? “How can I possibly let go!” Truly I tell you, trust! Trust and you will float! And my friend, if in your floating you sink and drown, who will come for your soul? Is it not Christ? Amen!
