The storm

He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

In the storm, I write these words to you.

From once the doldrums to now the torrential rain, do I write these words to you.

A little girl once fell off of a great ship.

Her father was close by her side, just before her slip.

As she fell, her father’s heart was stirred for her in compassion.

He took action.

Leaping into the water after her, plunging down from eighty feet above the sea.

He came to her in her time of need and held her closely.

They drifted in the ocean together, he only held her tighter.

In time, rescue came and they were delivered to safety.

As one who too has fallen, I implore you.

While you drift in the sea, remember me.

I am close beside you, holding on to you tightly.

So take your eyes off of the sea, and look only at me.
